Purchased originally for 14,800. Knitting creates a clean silhouette. The yarn for this base-layer sweater uses 48-count ultra-fine, high-density worsted cashmere yarn. It feels soft and comfortable, and is knitted on an imported German Stoll machine at 16 gauge. The yarn color is matched to the original garment; the yarn is environmentally fixed and dyed. Custom cotton yarn is used. Jacquard fabric requires fine yarn counts and exceptionally high-quality raw cotton. The letter pattern uses a double-sided floating-yarn technique, with careful workmanship and clearly defined texture. The very fine yarn is made from environmentally friendly fibers and receives a special soft-wash treatment. The garment fabric feels soft; its base layer is made with gently stretchable eco-microfiber that resists deformation. Suitable as an autumn/winter base layer for commuting.
