The original version was purchased at Beijing SKP for RMB 16480. The fabric is made from 6 types of yarn that are custom-woven and custom-dyed. Each yarn is analyzed and specially made after the original is taken apart. The check pattern is matched across the main body, front and back at the shoulder seams, and at the collar and cuffs. The fabric must not have excessive weft skew; the sewing setup and seam allowance need to be adjusted to ensure precise pattern matching. On the other side is a distinctive, three-dimensional Pegasus logo made of raw-rubber material. The four-part snap fasteners use brass base components and custom-made alloy parts matching the original. They make a crisp sound when opened and closed.
